Hosted by the BC SPCA Kelowna Branch Community Council, the first BC SPCA Bake-off kicks off Treat Week from February 25-March 2. You can participate by entering your baked goods in one of our categories or come along, eat treats, and judge the entries!
To enter your baking:
All desserts are eligible - Cakes, cupcakes, squares, cookies, loaves, bars, fudge, and doughnuts (to name just a few). We want your most delicious creations!
The categories are -
Best Professional
Best Amateur
Best Under 12s
Best Vegan
Best Decorated
Email kelowna@spca.bc.ca with your name and category. We will email respond with further instructions and confirm your participation.
Bring your entry to the Parkinson Recreation Centre between 12:00pm and 12:30pm on the day.
To come, eat, and judge:
Bring your friends and family!
Your $10 entry fee at the door you will be given 5 tokens to taste the treats of your choice, plus a ballot to vote for your favourites. Additional tokens for more tasting will be available for purchase.
PROCEEDS from tasting token purchase directly benefit the animals at the Kelowna BC SPCA.
The entries in the Best Decorated category will be for sale by silent auction.
Our event includes entertainment (Jeff Piattelli performing), BAKE SALE, concession and a raffle - all in support of vulnerable animals in our community.
Bake-off winners and raffle winner will be announced close to 3:00pm.
