Lowering Anxiety Through Self Regulation
This is a 5 session course for adults experiencing anxiety in their daily lives. Led by a professional counsellor, this course will provide tools and strategies to help you manage and reduce symptoms of anxiety.
In this session, you will:
Understand our central nervous system and what regulations means
Identify ways we can stop contributing to our own anxiety
Learn how to be mindful of treating ourselves with more gentleness
The 5 Part Series Includes:
1 - Asking tough questions and being brutally honest with yourself. Identifying what is and isn’t anxiety.
2 -Identifying our window of tolerance.
3 - What is self regulation vs. coping?
4 - How we orientate to our environment.
5 - How to apply this to our daily lives.
Lois Hansen, masters of counselling, somatic experiencing practitioner. Formerly an educator for 20 years. Currently works effectively with those who experience PTSD, war veterans, those who have had childhood abuse, and those who just struggle with anxiety and don't know why.
