2019-10-03 19:00:00 2019-10-03 21:00:00 America/Vancouver 100 Debates on the Environment - Kelowna-Lake Country 100 Debates on the Environment is a non-partisan and politically neutral project initiated by GreenPAC that aims to bring voters together at the riding level to hear candidates best policy ideas for the environment. Candidates representing major political parties are invited to participate in each debate. Each of the 100 debates happening nationwide will include four common questions that focus on climate change, wilderness conservation, water, and pollution. Additional questions of local relevance will also be asked, and there will be time for questions from the audience, all in a panel-style format. The environment is a top issue for Canadians. Nationally, 57% of voters indicate that they are at least “very concerned” by climate change and 31% say it will be a priority issue for them when they go to the polls. We want bring you the information you need about each candidate's environmental platform in order to make an informed decision.
