Now, the brand introduces its transformation to The Working and Learning Company, its first new concept store in Western Canada. The store features Staples Studio, a Co-working space where start ups, small businesses and entrepreneurs can gather to work, learn and grow together with a vast array of products and services at their fingertips. Local media and the community are invited to take part in a Grand Opening celebration on Saturday, September 14, starting at 9 a.m. Staples Canada CEO David Boone and local dignitaries will be on hand to celebrate the official opening of the new store concept, which features an enhanced design focus, expanded services and Spotlight, a community gathering and learning space with a weekly Speaker Series. The Spotlight Speaker Series will feature two keynote guests on opening day: • Alex Harrison Hanes: Fashion designer and entrepreneur owner of “Harrison Hanes Clothing” and has been featured in Kelowna Now: Young Entrepreneur Series, as well as Kelowna Now: InFocus. • Joshua Fraser: Founder and CEO of “Estated”, a venture-backed real estate property data company in Boulder, CO and Kelowna, BC. The first 100 customers will receive a Staples Canada gift card valued at up to $100 and all guests will benefit from a 10% discount on select in-store purchases. Customers can also enjoy free brewed coffee and food samples all day long from Kelowna favourite Marmalade Cat Café, which is opening its third location inside this Staples store.
