Tonight’s Lotto Max jackpot is capped out at $70M

If you have long dreamt of becoming a multi-millionaire, those dreams could have come true by this time on Wednesday.

All you need to make it happen is a Lotto Max ticket, or several, and some serious luck to overcome the 1 in 33,294,800 odds of winning the jackpot.

Despite those long odds, it’s fun to dream of the possibilities when a lottery jackpot gets up to a high number and that’s exactly what has happened now.

The Lotto Max jackpot has capped out at $70 million, the highest possible in the game, and it’s up for grabs during tonight’s draw.

If someone, or multiple people, match all seven numbers on their ticket this evening, they’ll be walking away with that $70 million or a split of the jackpot if more than one person wins it.

In addition, there are also 10 Maxmillions prizes of $1 million each to be won, which is certainly not a shabby consolation prize.

British Columbians have had some success playing the lottery over the past few weeks, with three lucky people winning life-changing sums of money.

  • Sharon Fraser of Ucluelet won $18 million from the Lotto Max draw on Feb. 23.
  • Wei Dong Chen of Burnaby won $5 million from the Lotto 6/49 draw on Feb. 28.
  • Hao Ping Chung of Richmond won $58 million from the Lotto 6/49 draw on March 6.

The only way to have the same fate as those three is to grab your ticket, which can either be done online or at any brick-and-mortar lottery retailer in BC.
