'Happy Little Accidents' exhibition will feature 32 original Bob Ross paintings in Penticton

Breaking News! The Penticton Art Gallery will have the privilege of featuring 32 of Bob Ross’ original paintings.

The gallery announced the news this morning, stating that the upcoming exhibition will be fittingly titled "Happy Little Accidents."

“Oh yes… the Joy of Painting. That calming voice, the distinguished ‘fro, those happy trees, and that friendly squirrel. We all know him, we all love him, and now he is coming to OUR happy little gallery!” the gallery said.

According to the announcement, this will be the largest exhibition and the first solo exhibition of Ross’ work in Canada.

It is set to run in the main gallery from March 21 to May 10, 2020.

The Penticton Art Gallery is planning some programming alongside the exhibition, including a Bob Ross Art Battle at Slackwater Brewing in April, a giant paint-in, and a dance party where you can dress up as your favourite “happy little character.”

A designated sponsorship wall will be going up in the gallery entrance and the gallery is inviting individuals and businesses to buy a “happy little square” to support our children’s programming.

Squares of Bob Ross and his painting will be sold for $20 each and will feature either your name and/or your logo.

Squares are available immediately so if you are interested in buying a piece of Bob’s ‘fro, act fast as they warn that they will sell quick.
