Anyone familiar with snapping adorable photos of pets may want to listen to this deal.
Struggling to sell their home amidst a slow real estate market, a Calgary couple have announced a raffle for their $3-million mansion located in Mount Royal.
For a $35 entry fee, you can submit a photo of your pet along with an essay on the topic of “living in your new dream home with your pet.”
The best picture/essay combo wins the house, with three runner-up prizes of $50,000 each.
The winners will be chosen by a panel of judges and proceeds amounting to $100,000 will be split between the Animal Rescue Crew Society (AARCS) and the MEOW Foundation.
As for the grand prize, the 4,100 square foot home was built in 2014 and features luxury finishings, spa area, loft tv area, a three car garage and several other features.
The competition runs until Oct. 22, 2019, or any time after 100,000 purchase entries have been received, raising $3.5 million for the husband and wife duo’s initiative to relieve themselves from what they describe as a “tremendous burden.”
According to a release, the couple say they are thinking out of the box as they are struggling with a mountain of debt, with no possible sale at cost recovery levels and poor prospects for waiting out the market.
